International Travel/ VISA Requirements 

American citizens do NOT need a visa to enter Canada.

If you are attending the 2025 SOBP Annual Meeting from a country other than Canada or the United States, please read the attached documenthttps://pmg.joynadmin.org/documents/1036/66f59d43c1aec765257a1092.pdf supplied by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada / Government of Canada here.

Once you have registered for the 2025 SOBP Annual Meeting, SOBP will supply a letter of invitation to accompany your visa application as required by the Canadian government. Please note that we will only provide this letter once registration has been finalized. To receive your letter, please contact the SOBP Executive Office at sobp@sobp.org.

We encourage you to begin your visa application immediately to allow for the maximum processing time. Should your visa fail to get approved, we will be happy to convert your registration from “in person” to “post-conference digital access.”

MEETING REGISTRATION CANCELLATION POLICY

Meeting registration fees will be refunded (less $75 processing fee) if the Executive Office receives written notice to sobp@sobp.org by March 24, 2025. Substitutions are allowed at any time. (Substitutions are not allowed for award recipients.)

Policies
  • Special Accommodations: Should you have a disability and need special accommodations, please contact the SOBP Executive Office at sobp@sobp.org.
  • Registration Format: Meeting attendees are able to switch from virtual to in-person and vice versa through March 25, 2025. (Substitutions are not allowed for award recipients.)
  • Cancellation: Meeting registration fees will be refunded (less $75 process fee) if the Executive Office receives written notice to sobp@sobp.org by March 25, 2025.
  • Lower Income Country: SOBP offers discounts for registrations if you reside and are travelling from a low or lower-middle income country as defined by the World Bank. For more information on these classifications, click here. Please contact the SOBP Executive Office at sobp@sobp.org to receive your discount.
